Matt: You missed images of the base and the dome. Those are interesting. MD, but interesting. Just the central devices look affected.

I counted 3 little stars on the rim near the by the 1960 Above the 0

Also what does MD stand for?

Hi Eva - Mechanical Doubling. This happens if the tools in the press wobble/rotate slightly damaging the devices on the coin. You'll note tat most MD you'll see affect the outer devices (IGWT, USA,ONE CENT, etc.) but less so on the inner devices as is evident on this subject specimen.
