i have many duplicates and just not enough to fill another collector book.... just wondering how you store all your extra coins?
people have mentioned old pill bottles but they take up so much space other people have said to use the older style smoke packs with the flip up tops
any other suggestions?
i was thinking a small plastic parts organizer... the ones with the adjustable pieces inside.
any other help?

If I only have a few of each year I will use a coin tube for a decade span. I will also use coin tubes per mintmark/year if I have more.

Take a peek around Wizard Coin Supply, should be a link to the online store at the top of this forum. If you can't find what you're looking for (or what I am talking about), post back here and I'll try to link you to some product pages tomorrow.

I used cardboard 2x2 holders. Usually place them in vinyl pages, but I do have a box with some unsorted miscellaneous extras (mostly modern stuff).

I have boxes for 2x2 old foriegn coins, albums for coins I would like to see more. Tubes are for hoarding wheat pennies and pre1960 nickels.
My favorite is storing them in the extra holes dansco provides like the 15 in the walker album.

I put all extras in 2x2's. Then they go into those red Whitman type boxes until there are enough to start a new Album.

Quote: i found the plastic tubes and the rectangular ones...what is everyones preference? I've used mostly round ones, but for compact, secure storage I imagine the square ones are better. Check out this thread with some pictures of how GR58 does it with his State Quarters collection (scroll down to the bottom for photos). https://goccf.com/t/215964This is one of the more elaborate systems you'll see... but it gives you ideas. edit: spelling

I put them all in air-tite holders then store them in the tubes specifically designed to hold the air-tites.
