It's normally Contursi's habit to price his ebay advertisements (it's what they are and we're good consumers by talking about it) way high. This one, who knows? There are seven of them, and this one is two grades higher than I've found a sale for. This may be a realistic price, less than twice what a 64 sold for 3 years ago. Learned a lot of new stuff about Anna Willess Williams' story during the research for this one. Cool.

I've seen one of these before in an internet article but never before on ebay. Interesting. As far as price who knows?

One of my favorite patterns that I'll never own.

US Patterns, to my mind, adheres to the most rigorous academic standard possible and is a tremendous resource. I learn something new every time I visit the site. One of these days I'm just going to spend a day there and read every page on the site.

Nice design, and it may just be the images but I think the grade is way off.

Dunno. I expect Proof strikes to get graded on a stiffer curve and there are a lot of nicks on this coin. And I'm hoping the holder is kinda scratched up.

As I said it may be the picture but it seems to me this "PR66" has a lot of hairlines and scratches. Yes I'm sure some of them are on the plastic but I think it has enough on the coin I would not call it a 66.
