The Completed Guide to Liberty Seated half dollars Book.
Amazon has them for sale at over $700. I see one listed for Auction with starting bid of $430 on ebay.

My question, is the book worth it for that kind of money?

It is out of print. The last copy Rich Uhrich had on his site was priced at $395.

Rich has three out of four volumes of Bugert's newer work on Seated halves. I am going that route as it is cheaper when I begin adding them to my library.

The original is online for free on David Lawrence's site. I also use Heritage Auction archives, they have some attributed, and their pictures make it easier to see the pick up points.

Thanks, MeadowviewCollector and Staff. I will use the online for now and wait for a better price.

Along these lines, Q. David Bowers is working on a book at this very moment about Seated Liberty coins in all denominations. Not sure when it will be out though.

Thanks Tbone for the information on the upcoming books. The Half Dollar book that had a starting bid of $430 did not sell.
