Found my first one last night, finally nailed down a positive attribution with Coops help. I just found my second this afternoon in a little better condition and slightly earlier die state.

Shouldn't the doubling be on the other side of the 2?

There are multiple varieties of that 72 Doubled. Nice find though.

No, but they did come from the same Ziploc bag.

I am finally getting around to searching my 18 year hoard. I have acquired 338 1972's in normal circulation since I started hoarding cents back in 1997. I am about half way through them still hoping to find the big one. (Which I doubt that I will since it would have jumped right out when I sorted them out.)

Just found my third 1DO-003. I am enjoying this, but I hope the next find is a different die pair.

So even the fact that 1DO-003 at Lincoln Cent Resource is doubled on the opposite side of the 2 from this one doesn't change the attribution? Lincolns are odd.

Not sure what you mean by the other side of the 2. It is a clockwise die rotation, so one 2 is just slightly above/below the other. Years of circulation and mushy die state can make things tricky.

I may not be seeing it right. To me, it seems like the lesser stroke (the doubling on the 2) is to the left on your coin. Given the wear I could easily be wrong.
