Recently found what I thought was a 2004 Silver quarter and was a little disappointed to be told .. "but I'm sorry to say your Wisconsin Quarter is a plated coin, done as a novelty item. Thousands upon thousands of State Quarters were plated, and sold on TV shows as novelty items - when they get into circulation, it can be confusing to figure out what you have. It's a plated coin, and carry's no premium over the face value" Report this Post to the Staff
