For silver I really enjoy the Seated Liberty series. I've been focusing on a date set of Half Dimes for awhile, here is my completed subset of that, the basic design type set. The Half Dimes are a good way to get your feet wet with the seated liberty series as they are a bit more affordable in higher grades vs the other denominations.

Lately I've been picking up some better date Half Dimes, though not in as high a state as yours. I don't know why...I dislike dimes but for some reason I like the Half Dimes.

Thanks for the comments! I too like the no stars variety. I'll eventually pick up a nice 1837 Dime as well for that reason. I'm about 1/3 of the way complete with my date set of Half Dimes. I'm also working on a lower grade set of new orleans minted Half Dimes. It's been fun as well, though I haven't picked up one of those in awhile. That's a challenge finding low grade problem free New Orleans examples. Eventually I'd like to have a complete circulation set, but for now, the date set has been my priority.

Very nice set of Half Dimes. I like the heavily clashed reverse of the 1838. Adds character. The crustiness of the 1854 and the toning of the 1871-S would be my favorites though I would not mind owning all of them.

I too, have assembled a type set of Half Dimes. It is pictured in its entirety in another thread.
