Got it from the Coins and Canada site Steve 123.

http://coinsandcanada.com/coins-pri...nt-1965-2012

Looks like the same doubling as your example. There is a separate variety for Double Canada.

Thanks, all. I don't know how many hundreds of the '67 pennies I have looked through and finally found one!

Just found the nickel to go with it!!
Not as dramatic as the cent, but still doubling in pars of the "5 Cents", Rabbit's back and "Canada".

Is that a die crack (or scratch) going down the back of the
hare? A Doubled Rabbit is listed as Die
Deterioration as well, a die crack would not be out of place.

The beads are totally messed up on that nickel. Look like
fried eggs. I would say Machine Doubling, looks like some
flat field doubling as well.

The 1967 5 Cent Double Rabbit - the doubling is on the
front (chest) of the hare not the back, so the error listed
on the Coins and Canada site is different from your example.

SilverDon, yes the face from the nose towards the top of the ear is double along with the start of the next down the right forepaw. Also, the scratch looks like it started as a die crack but it seems to merge into a scratch (maybe just a coincidence that it was scratched to meet with the die crack)..

Here are a few more photos...

Nice looking nickel, lots of oddities. I thought the die crack was leading into a scratch.
If it is raised above the surface of the coin, you should be able to feel it, proof of a die crack.

It must have been double struck to get that amount of doubling. A slight shift in the
planchet or die prior to the second strike, just thinking out loud here, not an error expert.

Yeah, the crack is so minute that it is difficult to see it, keep it steady while magnifying and to try to feel a raised ridge. LOL, it's almost a surgical procedure.
