OK, I know something like this has been done before, BUT guess what - Here we go again.

Please - READ CAREFULLY - this is a Simple Contest, BUT I'm sure there will be questions. I have tried to include everything, BUT you never know?

This Simple Contest will start today Saturday 11-24-07 and run for 2 weeks, ending on Tuesday 12-4-07 at 7:00 PM EST.

I have this jar, bottle, planter, call it what you will and like hundreds of people reading this, every day when we get home from work or shopping the Wife and I throw all our loose change ( after I look it over ) into this jar. Now after approx. 13 months the jar is FULL.
The jar contains pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters. The are NO, NONE, ZIP, NADA ( get the idea ?) half dollars, Ikes, Susan B.s, Sacagawea's or Presidential dollars.

The CONTEST will have 2 parts:

Part 1. "How Much is IN the Jar?"

Part 2. "How Much Does the Jar Weigh FULL of Coins?"

THE RULES:

For Part 1. - The CLOSEST guess to the EXACT AMOUNT in Dollars and Cents ( ie: $26.84 ) WITHOUT going over will be a Winner.

For Part 2. - The CLOSEST guess to the EXACT WEIGHT in POUNDS AND TENTHS OF AN OUNCE ( ie: 9 pounds 13.7 ounces) WITHOUT going over will be a Winner. NOTE: Weight will be in Avoir du pois and NOT Troy.

THE INFO:

For those of you who want to get out the Calculator and do some heavy duty figuring, charting and graphing, analytical estimating or just plain flipping the old Lincoln Cent.

The Jar stands 22.5 inches tall.........the body is 3.125 inches square (outside dimension)..........the glass is approx. .375 inches thick.........the flare starts 2 inches above the bottom.......the bottom is 6 inches across the flat (base).........each of the 8 sides of the Octagon measure approx. 2.50 inches.

The Jar weighs 6 Pounds 11.2 Ounces EMPTY.

Simple-Contest---It's-Over---See-

THE PRIZES:

Both Parts 1 & 2 will receive the same prize:

"A set of BU 1982 Lincoln Cent Varieties."

Simple-Contest---It's-Over---See-

BONUS: Should the Winner of either Part 1 or Part 2 guess the EXACT AMOUNT or WEIGHT - I will add a RAW - 2007 Uncirculated American Silver Eagle to THAT Winning Prize.

Last but not least: If you chose to join in "GOOD LUCK"

Remember: I'm offering a 5% Holiday Discount on my Web Site, see:
https://goccf.com/t/21897 for some of the details.

OK IT'S OVER, I HAVE WEIGHED THE FULL JAR AND I AM NOW COUNTING AND ROLLING THE CHANGE. I HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO. AS SOON AS I HAVE FINISHED COUNTING I WILL ANNOUNCE THE WINNERS. STAY TUNED.
