Once the Statehood Quarter series has finished next year, my goodness has it been that long?, will the prices for errors maintain? That is to say legitimate errors ie clips, clad layers, or double struck for example.

Will these coins hold there value after the fact?

Just looking for opinions.

Thanks,

Michael

I think a few will maintain value. So many people have been collecting them that they probably won't be worth much. However, I think certain coins such as Wyoming will go up in value. I think that after time it will be difficult to find one of those without marks on the blank spaces. Some of the early ones may retain value as well. As a whole, however, probably not.

Major errors on State Quarters are quite rare and will hold their value and most likely go up.

the real "errors" will stay where they are but only because there are not that many legit errors on the SHQ program. most have been debunked as fake garage masterpieces or simple die cracks or gouges.
i rode that wagon for a few months when they found the Wisconsin quarters here in Tucson and I found 8 of them in one roll that tells me that there are more out there than most think. and I got my 5-600 per coin and got out fast. now they are in the thousand dollar range lol for a variety that is a good one to have (for sale) but it like most varieties will go up in a cloud of Arizona dust sooner or later. most "error" coins will be OK for a few more years.and they will die out as the dust settles some will be smiling and some crying.
sorry about the book I guess I had more to say than I thought

Could someone make a list of the top SQ errors/varieties? I know about the extra leaf on the corn stalk on the Wisconsin quarter and the extra tree in the Minnesota one. I know there's more, just can't remember them all.
