except for the bag marked cheek it is a very nice coin. Perhaps the grader thought it worthy of a 64 or higher without them and gave it the plus. Or perhaps it was submitted by a 'favourite' or the grader really liked it. No sure way to say.

DL is a good company with an outstanding rep, but, when he has something I am looking for his price is always top of the mark plus.

Maybe the grader liked the cresent toning? I think his price is good with the "discount"

Yea, I really don't have a problem with it. Fields are good, face is scratched. Might have been a hair generous.

I suspect the toning was rather nicer when it was slabbed. Toners require more careful maintenance than other coins, because atmospheric sulfur affects them so easily. This one just probably sat in an inventory, in am unlucky place.

Plus due to pretty colour and clean fields. I think in hand this is quite a lot nicer than the pictures show.
