There is no way that a toonie core can get flipped like that in the mint because the core and ring are struck together. Someone removed the core and put it back in flipped.

I've got a similar 'very rare' Portuguese 100-escudos, found in change about 15 years ago! Perhaps I should put it on ebay?

I've actually got such a coin, a flipped-center $2. However, I find it obvious that someone flipped it because a piece of the center is sticking up from the surface of the outer ring. I definitely think this is the case here, too.

I hope you didn't start a bidding war. In all seriousness I wish this was the limit to the creativity but this one is a given to all the collectors I know.

Since it's being advertised as an error, it may be a good candidate to see if Mike can get it removed.

I sent the seller the following: You do realize this is impossible to create this coin unless you remove the core and put it in backwards? If I paid 800$ for this coin and sent it in to be graded it would come back as Post mint destruction and not an error as you claim. Still want to sell it as an error worth 800$?
Rest in Peace

At the time of this post the first link is no longer valid so I guess they took it down for now. Forums work!
