Ok, this should be fun! Open up the VamWorld 1900-O VAM page http://www.vamworld.com/1900-O+VAMs in a new tab so you can switch back and forth between pages to help figure it out....

Here's a 1900-O Morgan. As you can see, it is either a NEAR DATE (never mind the doubling, being a NEAR DATE narrows it down to either VAM 3, 4, 18, 21, 23, 24, 25, 27, 29, 37, 39, 40, 41, 43, 45, 46, 47, or 49) or a FAR DATE, which would be a VAM 19, 22, or 50.

Let's-Play-

It has a HIGH O mintmark, which narrows it down to either a VAM 21, 23, 27, 40, 41, 45, or 46. (must not be a Very Near Date... none of those have a High O).... Having fun yet?

Let's-Play-

It does not have a DOUBLED EAR, which narrows it down to either a VAM 21, 23, or 27.

Here's where it's getting tricky. This 1900-O shows a Doubled Profile..... there isn't a listed 1900-O VAM with a doubled profile.....

Let's-Play-

Let alone a NEAR DATE, HIGH O, DBL PROFILE with a clashed G under the neck....

Let's-Play-

A clashed T in the hair vee....

Let's-Play-

And, (this is what I think is really cool).... the clashed T in the hair vee on the obverse is reproduced on the reverse by a clashed "vee" around the T in TRUST...

Let's-Play-

So..... what say you? Did you figure out which VAM it is? I certainly couldn't...... Is it a new VAM? I don't know.... Any thoughts or input would be appreciated.

Thanks for playing!

Near date for sure. Your picture only shows two digets of the date. It looks as if the 9 is a little higher from the rim than the 1. If the zeros follow suit and go higher yet, it's a near slanted date. Don't forget, not all attributes are listed in the book or Vamworld. Make sure what date you have and go from there. LeRoy's updates at the Ashmore site may help you also.
