Sept. 21 (Bloomberg) -- The Reserve Bank of Australia will sell a collection of 5,850 gold coins, valued at A$19 million (US$14.6 million.)
The collection will be sold at a public auction in November, the bank said in a statement on its Web site.
"The final group of 5,850 gold coins, comprising Australian half sovereigns and sovereigns, Adelaide pounds and some foreign coins, have significant numismatic value and are expected to be of interest to coin collectors," the bank statement said.
Some of the collection will be displayed at the Museum of Australian Currency Notes at the central bank's Sydney headquarters.
