My business works with thousands in cash a day from customers. I've yet to find a counterfeit at this job since I have been there but I'm waiting for one to pass through my fingers.  |

Nothing anymore, I am on disability. But when I worked I did everything from working in a weaving mill (fixing weaving looms/weaving) to driving a truck for FedEx Freight/Working on the Dock |

The other day at the grocery a checker wouldn't accept a $5, claiming it was counterfeit.
I mean, who would counterfeit a $5?

a LOT of people do solely for the fact that no one ever thinks to check it.

do ya'll not think $30,000.00 a month seems like a awful high number to go undetected in one area? What happens when these things get put into circulation and those people try to spend the cash and it is found to be fake?

A few months ago I stopped at one of my banks cash station and withdrew $500.00 to make a cash purchase on a 1916-s Walker half dollar. I have done a lot of business with the guy I bought this coin from. The following week he called and told me one of the $20.00 bills I gave him turned out to be counterfeit! He lives in a very small town and knows everyone at his bank. They confiscated the bill and he was out the $20.00. They also told him they get several fake bills every day! I went to my bank to complain and they said even if I could prove the bill came from the cash station(impossible to do no matter what) I still would have been out the money. I guess there is a lot of counterfeit stuff floating around. I was always under the impression that the majority was being passed out of the U.S. Mike  |

When ya really think about it...it's only Thirty $100 bills in an entire Metro area
