My latest addition I want to share with you, quite common denarius but in good shape.

Ruler: Elagabalus (Emeror)
Coin: silver Denarius
IMP ANTONINVS PIVS AVG - laureate draped bust right
VICTORIA AVG - Victory flying left, diadem in both hands, shields at sides, star to right.
Mint: Rome (220-1 AD)
Wt./Size/Axis: 3.09g / 19mm / 11h

That's more detail on the reverse than I'm used to seeing on these guys, very nice.

Very nice piece.
I like the reverse with the star in the field.
Too bad he doesn't have the 'thing' on his head.
Then it would have everything you want in a coin of this little monster.

The star is a recurrent simbol in his coinage...
Elagabalus was member of the hight priesthood of the sun god Elagabal (Elagabalus is a postumus nickname, his true name was Sextus Varius Avitus Bassianus but changed his name when he becomes imperator to claim being illegitimous son of Caracalla to Marcus Aurelius Antoninus Augustus...
He was probably the more depraved and disolute of all roman emperors, and this was a very disputed competition!
His grandmother plotted agains him and put him and his mother to death, being replaced by his cousin Alexander
