Ok so ive been trying to research this piece over the last 2 hours. Now only ones I have seen are ones without a serial number on them. Now the ebay listings that I saw w/out numbers were like 15 to 20 bucks. but I soon relied that these were clad, they were silver plated. Now I am wondering if this one is actually the real deal. Help?

Anything german "silver" is not silver at all. The usual formulation is 60% copper, 20% nickel and 20% zinc. And the serial number does not really help it.

magnet test
specific gravity test
ping test
acid test...

test before you buy!

If you're buying offline..... then buy only from credible sources...

Just an FYI... the term "german silver" is quite different than anything that looks like silver that has any german symbols on it.

We can't link Ali here for moral reasons, but these are from there. $2.20 each. That should say all you need to know.
