Thanks! :) I got them along with the aforementioned scrap pieces and a couple of coins - a half Rupee 1835 of the East Indian Company and a 1/12 Anna 1883 both in nice condition - for the price of around £14, which I thought was a nice little bargain..I love job lots!

Have ye got the wrong picture for #1? I see some kind of Austrian coin, dated 1642. For number 3: quote: A completely befuddling token which is the same on both sides, it has a with a coin orientation.
The coat of arms appears to be that of the Rhine Palatinate, or Pfalz. No idea what it is, though, except the "30" might be 30 kreuzer. Perhaps a contemporary counterfeit? For number 6: quote: An arabic coin? Islamic year 1271
From Morocco - the classic "Seal of Solomon" copper coin, with the Islamic date in Western numerals. For number 8: quote: Another Arabic medal for the experts?...
The date is 1974 AD, the crossed-daggers badge is that of Oman. Good haul!

Thanks again sap for helping to identify most of the coins. I think for the first coin you have missed the 1963, which is near the horses ass (19) and between its forelegs (63) I missed it at first. But no it is the right photo... Re. the Oman coin, I recognize the coat of arms, knew I had seen that before on coins I have had. But there must be many 'crossed-daggers' coats of arms for Arabic nations?... The Pfalz coin: yes, thought that was fake - obviously it would be very good for its age ;) Do you know anything about the 'ubique leo' one?

Yep. Can't see the forest for the trees... But it's definitely Austrian, not Scandinavian. Probably a restrike of a medal for Ferdinand III, Holy Roman emperor in 1642. quote: But there must be many 'crossed-daggers' coats of arms for Arabic nations?...
Sure, but that particular "asterisk-shaped" badge is very distinctively Omani - it's on all their coins and banknotes. quote: Do you know anything about the 'ubique leo' one?
Not really, except that Christian V was king of both Norway and Denmark, and the three lions is normally the symbol for Denmark, rather than Norway from 1670 to 1699. I did find this reference, which seems to be an auction listing for a piece like this, just by Googling the Latin phrase. It's listed with estimate £150, but it doesn't say whether it actually sold for that. "Galster 255" is probably a catalogue reference number.

Listed at £150?... bah! if only it were real... :'( Never mind, I just received 10 Kilos (for £50) of world coins and I swear there's about £150 in there... ;)
