chrycopaul Pillar of the Community Canada 1106 Posts	Posted 12/09/2007 2:57 pm Basically it translates into "Lest we forget the soldiers who died on the Fields of Honour" 1914-1919 I asume it is a medal honouring the American soldiers who died during the First World War. The soldier's helmet looks more like the French pattern than a British or American helmet. I can't make out what the soldier is holding in his right hand. The device ia the top, above the soldier, reminds me a lot of the Croix de Guerre, a medal awarded for bravery. Peter in Oz Report this Post to the Staff
