999fine - 1958 Soviet coins are not common in any condition. These coins was struck and were planned to be released only to be melted down. Some escaped the mint and managed to circulate however are rather scarce to rare. A low grade of any 1958 coin can easily in excess of 500+ dollars as they were never meant to be released. A "look at ebay" comment is not a helpful one.

That said, there seems to be a high number of counterfeits released these days. While I'd to say this is genuine, I have never handled a genuine example myself, therefore unable to comment. What you see on ebay these days are mostly modern replicas or altered dates.
