I saw it! It was great.

If I had been at the bar I would have ruined it for them.

Well said jbuck. I knew you saw it from that Albq IHC post we were taking jabs at last week...

Sounded like they used a modified version of the 1913 lib nickel story as the basis for the con!

When I searched to see if anyone posted this thread, that was the other one that turned up in the list.

I did appreciate the closeups of the 1964 Kennedy half dollar he used.

As he wove the tale I was like, "What? Lincoln?"

Great show, too bad it's only 10 episodes for the first season, was hoping for at least 14 with the success of BB. I remember watching the first season of BB when it was on and no one knew what it even was when I told people to watch it. I went in to the Navy and nobody had a clue, by the time I got to my command it seems like thats all anyone watched. I remember that had a tiny first season, maybe like 7 episodes.
But anyways, ya wth were they talking about the Abe half dollar?

It may have been a test, to see if the mark knew anything about coins. You know, saying something that is blatantly wrong to see if he cringed like we all did when he said it.

Watching the show with my girlfriend. When he was going on about changing the design from the "Abraham" half-dollar to the Kennedy half-dollar I spoke up, "Um...actually it was the Franklin half-dollar...but whatever I guess".

Five seconds pass and I hear ".........nerd."

It is a good show. If you liked the characters Saul and Mike from Breaking Bad, you will like this a lot.
