I'll have to wait until I get home. atributing braided hairs is tough enough. Trying to do it on an iPhone is next to impossible.

this one is pretty easy. point of curl is left of center. one of those diagnostic deals in Grellmans book

Ok, ok. it's an N-1. It's sharpness is F-15 but it's scudzy. Yes, scudzy is a proper EAC term. Acetone and Verdi-Care might help, I say might.

do you think it looks scudzy because its dark? I thought the surfaces looked pretty smooth myself. Little bit of crud around date. Not big dings or pitting, corrosion.

This coin has a terrible surface Jerry. Corrosion is deep. The Color is really bad. All these things can be summed up with the word "scudzy". With large cents and all the abuse they've received over the years surface and color are just as big as sharpness or variety.
