I bought a few presidential rolls, Adams to be exact on ebay. I got them but the wrapper is black and white instead of the normal white with red. It was tightly shotgun roll wrapped in a nfs String wrapper. Should I be concerned that these were infact rolled in someone's home and not originally mint wrapped? After re-reading rh auction the user states they are original bank wrapped rolls, but as far as I know, banks don't go through the trouble of separating coins into rolling rolls of x president only and from x mint. So have I been duped and should ask for a refund? His picture displayed the normal white and red wrapped rolls and not these black and white rolls.

Did the item description list that what the winner would receive would not be the same as the item pictured? I try to only buy stuff that has the actual item pictured if I really want exactly what is shown. If it was, I would ask for a refund.

The auction did not say I would get what was pictured... Either way these are not bankwrapped nor mint wrapped. I think I will ask for refund since it is not exactly what was advertised.

Sleaklight

If the rolls were advertised as Bank wrapped ,,they are circulated ,,Banks don't wrap unc's anymore .

it is possible however that they are unc and wrapped by one of the contractors for the mint ,,and they were gotten from a bank ,,in which case the coins are Unc and would all be the same president .

Yeah... I think I am going to eat up this auction. I guess I am part at fault here. I have not opened them up. I have mixed feelings but I should have expected that or smelled something funny from reading bank wrapped etc. Oh well

I only bought one roll of presidential coins from my bank and to tell you the truth I don't remember what the packagine looked like but I think it did say that they were Presidential dollars on the roll itself (like I said I am not 100% sure about this, it was when GW dollars just came out) but usually the rolls I get from the bank is in the clear plastic type wrappers that they get from Brinks or some other carrier that rolls their coins for them, they don't do it themself so most of them are from one certain branch and not mixed with other dates/mint marks
