I asked the sony company would it be possible to attach a enlarger lenses to a sony handcam there responds was no you can not it is not possible. well not willing to take no for and answer. I studied a lot of what dave has been posting and teaching us. plus I studied bill elcheapo lenses and the way he does his tests well. I bought the attachments from ebay. I have mounted a Nikon El Nikkor 75mm f/4.0 lens unto the sony handcam the coin photoes are unbelieveable. well dave and bill have both said camera are just film. what I like to know is how does one do a 100% crop and dave I cannot seen to get the whole coin in the lense. the coin just fills it. need some help the other point to this is you can view coins all day long on a television screen full size and find errors and variety very easily. you can make the coins so big you can only see a little piece on the tv screen

I loaned this camera to a friend. I have found out he changed the setting from high definition to low. this camera takes 12.0 mega pixels images. I need to find a manual so I can program it back to high definition. dave could it be possible the receiver is to small to handle a full coin and I have to get my lighting working for me. this camera works get even in low light. I am waiting for the pieces to come so I can attach the Nikon El Nikkor lens to the Nikon 3200 dslr .

yes dave went through the online manual. my friend has changed the picture quality. I have set it back also found out he had changed from the tele macro setting I had it programed to. I have set the camera all back I will try tomorrow the images will back to 12 mega pixels. I should be able to program the cam so it works with the lens I put together Nikon El Nikkor . that way I should be able to capture a full coin no problem. also have found out I can set the white balance plus shutter speed.l so I will try tomorrow see what we get. I will record the setting. hopefully you can help me to adjust them

Rocky, I've never heard of anyone trying to do what you're doing, much less done it myself, so I am not qualified to offer you advice.
