Nice find don't know much about Canadian coin but it maybe and error or die variety? and look to be in EF condition

Thanks! Yes...they punched the 9 too close to the design, and it also caused a small die break. Not bad for $15 on ebay.

Thanks...there is this Seattle-based dealer who doesn't seem to care about these varieties. I'm also waiting for what might be a 47 dot 25c, but since the photos were rather sketchy, I'll know for sure when it arrives. Update: it turns out, this coin is NOT a 47 dot. Oh well...no loss!

Gee.. Nice coin Kurts, Topher price may be a little low, Trends, has it around 100 bucks if its ex fine.

Update: Now having the coin in hand, I see it's in better shape than the photos suggested. As there's some mint luster on the low points, I think it edges more towards EF.
