Does anyone remember the Royal Bank giving these away?

I see the pat. pending year says 1976 & actually remember getting these way back when & am now starting to feel older than I usually do.

im not old enough to have gotten those from the bank but they still bring back memories of trying to take coins out of the death grip those things have.
