I know of the 7143 that covers 1999-2008 P & D (two holes per coin) Also there are the 8143, 1999-2003 & 8144, 2004-2008 that hold P-D-S-Sl (four holes per coin) My confusion is that I am certain that I saw an album someplace for these quarters that was for P D S (three holes per coin) Maybe I'm all wet or maybe it wasn't a Dansco album? or ? Having the P D & S seems more appealing to me than the "all in" version by also adding the silver proofs. How do other folks collect this series?

I have pretty much all the Dansco albums for 1999 and up quarters. I have never seen one for just three of each coin. Maybe you saw a different brand. If you just wanted to do three P/D/S, I would suggest doing the 7143 for the P/D and doing a State Quarter "Date set" for the "S" mint coins. The date set album has one port for each coin, the label does not show a mint Mark.

I think you'll find that everyone collects a little bit differently. Currently I only collect my ATB Quarters from circulation and put them in a Whitman Classic 3057 (P&D). My Statehood Quarters are the same, but in a Whitman 2821 (P&D). At some point I'd like to add S-Proof and Silver S-Proofs (as well as S-Business) to an album, which to my knowledge, no album exists for. For me that would likely be either a custom Dansco (generic album with unlabeled quarter pages) or 2x2's in a binder. To your original question, you're crossing up Statehood Quarters and ATB Quarters (you mentioned ATB in the title). However from looking at the catalog I believe the only option with Dansco for collecting the Statehood S-Proofs is the 4-holes-per-quarter option with the 8143 and 8144.

GR58, Thanks for your comment. That sounds like a pretty good solution for doing a ATB PDS collection. I've got the P&D's now through 2014 and the 15's are coming via subscription...now would be the time to pick up a date set album for the S coins instead of down the road when it might seem more daunting.

Yep, I see that now, darnit, I thought I had it figured out. Thanks for pointing that out. I guess as yet Dansco doesn't make an album for the National Parks? edit: It's my title that is incorrect....I meant this to be about the State Quarters...have a lot of stuff on my desk and messed up the post......

They do have the date set album for both State and ATB Quarters. Never seen one fir 2009 Territory quarters. They do make P/D/S/S for 2009 quarters. That is a easy album to complete. Because you can buy the silver and clad proof In only quarters sets.

Yes, that is the 8145...I have that one coming. It looks very nice completed. Unless I've messed something up again what I've decided to do is go with the 8143 & 8144...put the P D S in and then the silvers will give me something to pick up along the way. It should be worth the effort.

I really like the 8143/8144 albums, I have three complete sets. The Silver proofs are not as much as they were a few years ago. With luck you can buy the 1999 silver proof set for around $75. I have not bought a 2008 set in a while .. but they are more than the 2000 - 2007 sets. If you can find them the 2004 - 2008 years have the silver proof quarters sold separate from the complete proof sets. Once you get enough posts .. you can put your want list here on CCF .. members might help you find some of the sets to help fill your album. Example ...

As always, nice photos, GR58!
When I start cracking sets to put my P-D-S-S set together, I'll probably go with those Dansco albums.

Your 8145 certainly is a smart looking set, thanks for putting up the nice picture. Very inspirational, and SO much nicer than the 7144 which just covers the P&D coins. I have all of those coins rounded up and am just waiting for the album to arrive.
Three sets of the 8143-44?....nice. Again, thanks for a nice representative picture of the albums. I'll have some work to do to complete mine but as I see from yours, it will be worth the effort. Thanks for the help.

Thanks all ..
Really just trying to help. Pictures are great motivators.
I may not be able to make the high priced purchases.
But .. it is possible for us all to put the modern sets together in better grade coins.
Nickels_rule .. hope to see some pictures of your albums, when you get some coins in them.

Quote: Three sets of the 8143-44?....nice. Yes .... Last count I was 8500+ clad/clad proof quarters and 500+ silver/silver proof quarters. Did I mention I like Washington quarters ... The local coin shops think I am crazy .. But they know where to get a quarter .. if someone needs one ...

Quote: The local coin shops think I am crazy .. Perhaps but you're almost certainly singlehandedly keeping them in business. And...we're all a little mental to do this.
