I went ahead and starting bidding on the 1950, 1951 & 1952 Proof dimes on ebay and actually won this one.

141631315002

I paid $ 36.00 for it with free shipping but since it has a low mintage in the series I had to have it. Please let me know how I did.

I don't know, and don't care, what the street price for a 1950 Proof Roosie is. You got a terrific price in my opinion. First year of Proofs, lowest mintage of all of them, and people are distracted by the relatively high survival for those reasons. Aside the flan flaw on the reverse it's a high grade coin. Be happy.

Prices are, to my mind, a bit depressed for this one considering it's status. I was quite surprised at what I saw for auction results. At worst, keep and let prices catch up.

I'd say a pretty good deal. The sellers story for how he started collecting coins was pretty cool, too.
