I did not think I was ready for this yet. But I set up a meeting with a local guy, to purchase a Japanese Dansco type album. While looking at the album I saw the two album Morgan dollar albums. Ended up buying both Morgan albums and the Japan type set album for $35. Not sure how I am going to fill this set. I have a completed Dollar date set album, some of my better Morgan's are in there. I have to decide which albums will get the better coins. I think I need 30 or 31 more coins for a complete set. I will know for sure once I switch all the coins over to these albums. This Dansco dealer stock album, is what I was putting my Morgan set in. Since I was near a coin shop, I stopped and picked up a couple I did not have. Edited by GR58 04/15/2015 6:24 pm

Thanks all .. I am just a middle class collector, so if and when I get these albums done .. it will have coins from G4 to BU .. The albums were really dusty. I vacuumed and cleaned the slides ... still a little dust .. Might take me a couple days to get the coins moved to these albums. Quote:

I really like your album you had your old Morgans in. It's tempting to have one to match my danscos.

Nice purchase GR58, I picked those a couple of years ago but haven't put a Morgan in there yet. I'm afraid once I start filling it I'll start going after the key dates and that will tie up big chunks of my coin budget with a single purchase. I don't know about you but I loathe empty holes in albums.

I understand about the empty holes ... I don't like them either.
Move the dollars out of the Dansco stock book last night. The second album is pretty thin. First album I have a really good start on.
Had my list yesterday .. list was wrong .. first day out I already bought a coin I had at home, 1900 Morgan. I think they will let me trade toward another date.

I agree with all on the empty holes syndrome. I took my SLQ's and sold them individually because I couldn't stand that first hole staring me in the face every time I opened the album!

Just 35 dollars for BOTH albums?
The Japan type set album will sell for more than 50 - 100 dollars alone even in used condition!

Quote: Just 35 dollars for BOTH albums? It was for three albums. The Japanese type and two Morgan. Morgan sets needs two albums for the 96 coin set. I bought them from a individual, he set the price, I said yes. The japan type album came with 51 coins.

Wow, you are really stepping up your game, and your game was already on an admirable level. Now I need to go a look at the Japanese Dansco you posted in the World forum.
