I'd have a very hard time not opening all of them. It would be a blast! Thanks for posting the link on roll history chrsb - it was very informative.

If you do open them and have penny remorse, you can always buy pristine vintage cent rolls on ebay and a hand crimper and re-roll them to create more "original bank rolls."

For fun, you can also put a shiny new 07 right in the middle. The rolls future owner will be scratching his head for years over how that got in there.

I love these. For half dollars but still makes a cool date roll.

chrsbI was trying to locate your post, (on another forum), and when I got little, or no response, "your post", I thought it might be here. Sure enough! I didn't recall if you used round, or square tubes, and after checking very closely, see that you have a "dukes mixture". That is what I wanted to establish, whether I couuls mix, and you proved the point. Now, all my tubes will be square. You can put a round tube in a square hole, but you "ain't never gonn git the squar one in the round hole"! Now as ti where they are available. CAn you tell m, or give me a link? MAny thanks for being there, when I "needed you so badly"! LOL

Dick,

I usually buy my tubes at coin shows, I can get them cheaper than most sites. I have bought some stuff from this site as there prices seem pretty good- http://www.jpscorner.com/Square_Coin_Tubes.htm

Dick,
You can also try here: http://www.brent-krueger.com/tubes.html

What is a "duke's mixture?" I've never heard the term.

OR you can try TradeWinds: http://www.tradewindssupplies.com/i...bes/list.htm

JP is $29/100
B-K is $27/100
Tradewinds is $25/100

I just ordered $300 worth of Dansco Albums and supplies from TradeWinds. When I got the shipment, 2 of the items were mixed up (they sent the wrong items). I just emailed them on Saturday and today they sent me the replacement and let me keep those "wrong items"... pretty nice customer service.
