I went through three boxes this week. It was such a weird set of boxes. One was normal. One had all the rolls opened and folded over by hand (not machine wrapped). The last one had all kinds of writing inside... calculating amounts? I wonder if someone at the coin counting/wrapping machines is going through them and trying to keep track somehow. All the boxes were sealed on the outside. Here's a picture of one of the boxes.

I have seen a lot of rolls & boxes of rolls in my area that have carefully been opened re-rolled with the original wrapper to look like they were machined rolled. But if you look carefully you can tell they have been already looked through. But I have never found a box that was re-sealed. I wonder if any tellers are doing this before handing the rolls out?

I got a sealed Loomis box that had 48 Loomis rolls and 2 S & S rolls in it. They were all recrimped and some were split and retaped on the sides. On the second from last roll I found my name and phone number written on it not in my handwriting. I was completely spooked until I thought back and while I had been paying my Home Depot bill in the store using halves I had to roll some because $300 in loose halves took them 15 minutes to count twice the last time I was there so I brought them in wrapped the next 2 times. I guess their carrier that picked up from the store did not question the rolls and dropped them back at the distributor for the area (which happens to be Loomis here) and then in turn without checking for accuracy reboxed them and by some twisted what goes around comes around action I got my crap back. After that day all of the coin I brought to pay my bill was loose.

Unless Chase is running their 5% cash back bonus on gas stations promo all I use is halves and dollar coins in daily commerce transactions.. Home Depot bill, grocery store, gas station, department store, Walmart, Walgreens, McDonalds, and so on. I try not to dump more than $40 at a time unless it is / was the Home Depot bill since I have finally paid it off before the 0% for 12 months was up. Over the last 12 months Home Depot has been the beneficiary of $3500 in halves and dollar coins.
