Yeah, nice finds. I'm pulling 1 or 2 silvers MAYBE out of 6 boxes. Some weeks I go through 6 and don't get anything at all. I'm near FadeToBlack though and am convinced that has something to do with it.

Trapper: I am jealous! My best boxes were similar and they were the first two boxes I ever searched...I thought every box was going to be like that, how wrong I was. Since then the silver has continually eroded and not a hint of a Ben or Walker that I got in the first two boxes..
congratulations. I guess I should keep the hope alive a while longer.

3 boxes of halves.
2 40%ers and a couple of NIFC.
I box was a bunch of loose rolls in a coin counter bag as the teller said the delivery company brought in a bunch of broken rolls in 2 plastic bags. No silver.
It wasn't as bad as the time I got a burlap sack with a zip tie on it that said Garda and had loose rolls, loose coins, half rolls, and empty rolls. That time I actually found 3 or 4 silvers in that pile of mess.

Nice Trapper, I pulled two 40%ers yesterday from $150 in rolls, still waiting for my 4 boxes, should have them tomorrow. I also received a call from someone at the bank I left my number with and picked up 5 more rolls, (skunked) but picked up a 64 quarter, gold colored dime, 38 Ikes two of them are 76 type 1 and 2, 72 type 3s. Also a couple of dollars worth of nickels 1938-1982, 4 silver out of that bunch. So not a bad day yesterday. Filled a bunch of holes in one of my nickel books.

i guess its in the numbers and getting the right box at the right time.you got to be just lucky for someone to turn in silver first the teller has to not look for it.when it gets shipped in the courrier service has the guy on a day off that collects it and then you get lucky to get that box. 3 things have to all come together. later greg

grime5, I believe most silver gets into the system via the coin machines.

Went to my usual bank to trade in some Penny Rolls and asked teller if they had any Halves as usual... She said no but another teller had some and she would ask. He only had 1.50 so I figured my chances were slim. Went out to the car and noticed a 1964! Others were only a 71 and 79 but hey, a $18.50 profit I don't see how the bank didn't notice it though in just 3 coins?
