one half of box #5 (flat/yellow stripes):

2002 P
2003 D
2004 D
2x 1983 S

only things that have stuck out so far and no enders in the other half that looked interesting. Will have to finish it tomorrow as well as the other box (box #6).

Nice haul Chuckster, Love getting those 90%ers. I have to say I disagree with Jack, I would rather pull silver than anything else. I believe that is where the long term payoff is. Unless you pull that lottery coin. I believe silver will be around for a while. When you think about pulling a magicians coins and how many are in circulation compared to how much silver is out there. I have searched just over 90,0000 coins and have pulled 3 magicians coins. I would think I would have pulled a commemorative coin by now. Just a thought. "LOVE THE HUNT"!

box #5 (flat/yellow stripes): (completed)

2002 P
2003 D
2004 D
2x 1983 S
1982 S
1996 S

was a shortage of bicentennials in this box. that would be the S I am looking to find. will have to double check mintmarks tomorrow on the rest to make sure I didn't miss anything good, but still no silver. Want to open Box #6 now, but so tired. I might jsut open the box and sneak a peak at the ends on them all if I don't pass out.

I would like to find silver also. Foreign would be nice too just too. only halves and dollars have yet to yield me a foreign coin so far.

Shadz, you can have all the foreign coins I find. I will trade you foreign for commemoratives coins. LOL I have pulled about a half dozen foreign coins and I really don't want them. Happy Hunting everyone. "LOVE TNE HUNT"!

@Arby: kids love the foreign coins if you have kids of your own, or nieces and nephews or neighborhood kids.

@Shadz: if you keep searching boxes, trust me, you'll see more bicentennials than you ever care to....

the commemoratives come very slowly. I only have like 2 or 3, in 268,000+ halves searched.

@JBuck: thx! got 2002 proof, 77 S, nice 2010 NIFC's and 3 40%'s total.

I'll take that anyday!

I have never seen a commemorative either, except the ones on here and then I had to go look them up somewhere and forgot where. all my halves so far have been Kennedy '71 and up.

I use bicentennials as markers for now, but might have to take a break. If I keep every one then I know I havent seen ALL the coins in a new bank trip or box, but having about a box worth after search 5 boxes and loose means I am stuck unable to get another box that might have a hole filler, a foreign or something else interesting and non-Kennedy.

But having less also means there is a greater chance for something else like those 4 proofs the last box had? I guess 82s,83s,96s are all proofs?

Berniez, you are 100% correct my grandsons love just about any coin I give them. I pulled two from Ecuador a couple of boxes ago and my boys were very happy to take them off my hands. I am more into the very old foreign coins. I have a couple of cool ones.
