Just curious; what was the counterstamp?

DCM the Counterstamp is the Kennedys with the 1960-1980, plated one. Are you the one whom counterstamps coins? If so which ones should I be on the look out for?

Yep, I'm the counterstamper (when time permits and/or if I feel like doing it) and these days I've been concentrating on JFKs. I put my initials (DCM) on them and serialize them (by year/mint) as well.

I've seen images of the 1960-1980 counterstamps; in the Where's George forum a collector in the L.A. area scored a few. Not sure though if that's where they originated.

my grandfather gave me his coin collection from the war, or what was left of it. at one point he had a drawer full of silver dollars from the 1800's up (around 2000+ coins) that were slowly spent, stolen by relatives, or just lost over time.

the second pic is what silver came out of it. all foreign silver and from 1803-1944

Chase forgot to order again.

2nd week in a row combined with an 8 box skunk streak.

At least they offered to order me 8 boxes on Thursday but I have to work again this weekend so it will be tough to dump $4K from Thursday and $2K from my Friday bank in time to pick up my regular $2K on Monday.

4 boxes yesterday: 2 @ 40%.

Getting harder and harder to find any volume and like arby96 stated, Silver is on the down swing.

It's getting close to the point of my not bothering with halves for a while.

Not worth the hassle of ordering/lifting/searching/dumping etc.(IMHO)

4 boxes today and box 3 was the skunk for silver, Box 1 and 4 each had 1-40%er and box 2 had 5-40%ers, and 1-74D DDO, Box 3 did give me a 2002S Clad Proof. So that is 7-40%ers in total. 1-65, 1-66, 3-67, and 2-68. Its always nice to get something. Keep up the hunt! Hey Bish nice haul I have a few of those silver ones too. You have some nice ones there. Do you know the % of silver. I haven't look them up.

Bank teller told me about a business customer that deposited $100 worth, so I bought 'em all. Found a '67, '68, '69, bicentennial proof, and one that looks like it's gold plated.
