Quote:What a difference a week makes, last week I had 2 boxes and got (9) 90% and (1) 40%. This week I had 4 boxes and the only silver was (1) 40% silver a 1976 silver clad proof. At least it wasn't a total skunk!! Out of the 4 boxes I got a total of (7) proofs and (23) 2002-date NIFC. Also found some errors a couple strike through, several with die cracks and one that the reverse is between 90 and 180* from correct orientation. /quote]Very nice! [quote]I've got another $1000. worth coming Tuesday, $2000. Wednesday, and $1000 Thursday. Everyone wish me better luck on the silver next week!! Good luck!

Thanks Berto. Something else I noticed on my half boxes was the wraps were newer and cleaner. They use to be older and dirtier.

4 boxes yesterday. 3 boxes were someones marked up dump but still had a 1964. Box 4 was another clue on the trail to finding the monster box that is on the loose. A couple of rolls had silver and there were at least 2 silvers in each roll. 2 Franklins, 2 Walkers, 3 1964's, and 6 40%ers. Hopefully the monster box will be in my batch of 4 boxes I pick up tonight.

Carlos, it sounds like your dumps as well as those of other CRHers are now being repackaged by Brinks or another armored car service and reissued to your banks. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but prepare yourself for a significant decrease in silver per box.

I hadn't done any hunting in at least a year or two. My wife and I had another kid and have been busy. My whole area was played out, and other people's dumps were everywhere. I had to sell a lot of my 90% to pay bills, but it was still about $30/ounce when I did. It collapsed a month later. :)
I got a new job recently, and am doing better with money. I just got my tax return and got some 90% at my LCS. Just for the heck of it, I went by a few banks in the area. Right down the street from the LCS, a teller had four halves, and three were 40%!
The old thrill was back. I went to about 10-12 more banks; most had halves, and most of those had 40%. There were a few Brinks rolls with the ends opened. :(
I had been all over town, and it was getting dark. I stopped at one last bank right down from my house. The teller had $70 in CWRs. All of them but one had silver! One had a '64 JFK, and one had a '61 Franklin.
90% 1961 1963 1964
40% 2 1966 6 1967 3 1968-D

4 boxes tonight. Not the monster box I was looking for but 1 ender is better than a skunk. Box 1 skunked. Box 2 1 ender. 2 rolls had 2 silvers in them. Total for the box was 3 40%ers, 3 1964's, and a Franklin. Box 3 1 40%er, a Magicians coin, a rusty proof, an electric engraved, and a 1987. Box 4 skunked.

arby96 after reading your post I examined the coin with the rotated die and found no indication it's not an authentic mint error. As for posting pictures there are a few reasons I don't, (1) I don't know how to post pictures to the forum, (2) I doubt I could get decent pictures with the older camera I have.

arby96 you were right the coin I thought was a rotated die was a Magicians coin. I broke out the magnifying glass and under magnification you can see a crack around the reverse circumference. That just made my 4 boxes for this week WORSE than I thought.
