I think its quite obvious silver halves are completely dried up in michigan. Must be some huge collectors here. Just did 2 boxes nothing. 2 more in front of me. Then 4 more thurs. I think ill stick with dimes

2 boxes is not a large sample. 20 or 30 should tell you something. you may be right, but boxes will tell.

Completed going through a box of halves this evening. Found 1 1964 Kennedy as well as 3 clad halves. The only other decent find were a 2014 p and d halves. First ones I have found in the wild.

So far 3 boxes done found a 1969 d half. Plus a 1976 S Non silver. Are these worth keeping? Plus a really shiny 1981 p. It looks almost like a proof but upon looking it doesn't look like 81p can be proofs. Also found 2 2002. 2000. 2005 2010 and 2011

I've got some good news to share after a few skunks. I cracked open a box last night and saw enders (yes plural) looking up at me. In total, 13 enders and 1 double-ender!! I haven't gone through them all yet because I'm saving the enders for my kids to go through with me. They see me crack plenty of skunks so I like to let them get the glory on those! But I can tell you after half the box or so that I think I will pull dozens of 40%'s out of this box. Simply amazing luck. Pic below and I'll update final counts when the kids get done with them. The 3 rows in the middle are enders; the roll laying on its side is the double-ender.

JDK350, I had a box a few weeks ago that had multiple enders. I didn't count them before I started opening them, but there were lots of them. That box ended up with (141) 40% and (22) 90%. Some of my rolls I think were at least half silver. It's a great feeling when you open a box and see all those pretty white ones!! My box had lots of 40% enders and a few Franklin enders. Good luck and let us know the final count. Two boxes that night yielded (150) 40% and (24) 90%. The Fed needs to go into their warehouses where they store all the halves and find us some boxes that have been sitting for the last 50 years.
I went through a $1000. worth tonight, all I found was 4 NIFC 2002-up. Got two more boxes coming tomorrow and two more Thursday.

jdk, that is going to be incredible! is it 13 enders in the whole box, or just the top row? This box should be huge either way!

4 Boxes this morning 3 skunks though I did pull a 74D DDO and 17-NIFC, Plus 2 Clad Proofs 83S and97S. Box 4 was the best, I got 1-86 Nation of Immigrants Commemorative Coin, That is the second one I have pulled since I have started searching. There are two Counterstamped one with a hole, and 23-40%ers. 2-65, 13-67, 5-68 and 3-69's. Very happy with the start to this week, hope it continues. The proofs are in fair to poor shape so they were too shy to have their picture taken. Remember "LOVE THE HUNT!"

Skib - that was the total enders for the box. I just shuffled them for the pic so they were all in it. Arby - I hope your prediction is true! Nice 4th box for you also, good pulls. Love the Commemorative. I can tell you at about the half way point that I've pulled some good numbers of silver, a proof, and few NIFC. Try to get the rest done tonight (I know, I'm slow). Halfway pic:
