Nice finds everyone I haven't posted in awhile mainly because I haven't done well. However I picked up 10 Boxes yesterday. I opened the first 9 boxes and no enders. However the last box had 10 enders. I figured there are 100 enders in a box and a 1000 coins in a box so 10 enders would mean there would be around 100 silver halves in the box. I opened the rolls up and sure enough exactly 100 silver halves in the box all 40% no 90%. About 2/3 of the rolls didn't have any silver in them while a third of them had like 4 or 5 in each which was strange. The other 9 boxes only contained 1 40% and 3 90%. My previous best box had 74 silver halves in it with about 8 of them being 90%.

2 more boxes tonight got (1) 1964, (4) 2002-up NIFC and (2) clad proofs 1984 & 2012. 2 more boxes to go this week that I'll pick up tomorrow if I can. So far this week 4000 coins and one piece of silver. Weather will be a factor in whether I can get the other 2 boxes tomorrow or not, they're saying we're going to get .25"-.40" of freezing rain, 2"-3" of sleet and 7"-10" of snow.

I finished going through my best box yet with the kids this evening. What a box, it was awesome going through roll after roll with the expectation of finding silver! When I opened the box I was greeted by multiple enders. In total, the box contained 13 enders and 1 double-ender. Yep, a 40%'er on each end of the roll! Quite cool. Here's the final breakdown: 124 - 40% (11-1965; 8-1966; 58-1967; 27-1968; 20-1969) 2 - 1964 1 - Proof (2012) 8 - NIFC Pics below: 2012S (A little dirty): And for the nerds among us, more numbers Silvers per roll breakdown:Skunk - 11 1 - 9 2 - 3 3 - 10 4 - 6 5 - 10 7 - 1 Here's a pic of the roll with 7 pieces of silver in it: Trent C - your ender calc makes sense. Mine came up similar; I had 15 silver enders out of 100 total enders and ended up with 126 pieces of silver. I saw 15% silver enders and netted about 13% silver for the box so that's a good estimation tool. Arby was pretty accurate with his guess, too. Good luck out there guys, there's silver to be had!

JDK350 that is awesome, 126 pieces of silver is wonderful, Isn't it a great feeling opening roll after roll with multiple silver coins in them. A box like will keep you searching looking for another one. I hope you get many boxes like this, Love the pictures. Did your children get excited too? My grandchildren have a blast opening with me when there is a bunch of silver in the rolls, we have fun. Congrats again.

Very nice JDK. One day I hope to find a box at least half of what you found. One day. I want to get my kids involved also. They open rolls for me but rarely find anything. I think if they would find silver that will get them excited.

JDK350, that's amazing! Congratulations.
I went be the bank on Tuesday to ask for dimes. No dimes. I got $300 in quarters instead and casually asked about halves. $470... I assume it's a dump. They're customer rolled and I take $100 to test. First roll has 3 silvers. I took the quarters back and used them to get the remaining $370.
Total was 44 %40 and 5 %90.
Nice day!

jdk, congrats on the huge score. I think it qualifies as a monster box! Keep an eye out of a twin box. Hoping you get it.

Naburt, no 1981P proof. Condition of the 1919S will determine the value. Well worn VG about $30, but an EF would be worth over $800.

Thanks for the kind comments guys.
Yes, it is awesome knowing the odds are in your favor of finding silver in the next roll!
Arby - yeah the kids have fun mostly when there is silver. But the 6 year old is happy with any 'shiny' one that comes out. I make sure to sock some of the silvers away in their own little containers. When they're old enough to appreciate it, I'll start turning it over to them to enjoy.
Carlos - I hear ya, it's tough when it's skunk after skunk. My oldest are early elementary so I treat this hobby kind of like when I take them fishing - I don't expect to get any fishing done myself, all I can do is keep up with baiting hooks, be sure to have some snacks and when they start frowning we start packing it in. I keep it enjoyable for them and only ask if they want to help. If not, no biggie. Owassokie - I picked up two more boxes yesterday but at 2 boxes a week for me I probably don't have much hope of getting consecutive boxes. I couldn't resist cracking both boxes to check for enders on the top row but didn't see any. Oh well, the fun is in opening and seeing what comes next!
Good luck guys.
