I picked up my 2 boxes this morning and opened one. The first roll I picked up and opened had a 1964. I was very pleased. I have not looked through any more yet. Will let you know what transpires with the remaining rolls.

As I was leaving the bank the 3 tellers wished me good luck.

Jack Jeckel - you are getting some weird boxes! Seems like if someone finds 3 Walkers in a box, it usually comes with a smattering of other silver. Then the previous post you had I think was a Walker, a Franklin, then just a few others.

But you're finding silver which is great.

Perhaps you are beating around the edges of a monster box lurking out there?

Good luck!

In this thread about the 7th page in the year of 2008 there was mentioned that 2001 P were not issued for circulation but that the mint was holding the 2001 P. I am wondering if this date was actually issued for circulation.
I have not finished going through my first box but have accumulated 23 of the 2001 P coins.

2002 and newer halves were not intended for circulation.

Last try. If this does not work then I give up.

Is this what a 1971D double die obverse error coin looks like? I found this in one of the rolls in my first box.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with the error you're referring to, but your photo quality is excellent!

Great pic.

Unfortunate wear to the hair and roller / wheel marks.

Not sure about DDO but we would need better closeups to the mottos where all of the DDO Kennedies would exhibit it.

Maybe I have the wrong terminology. The center of the coin around the head is kind of sunk in on the coin. I thought It might be something.

I've also noticed 1971 halves had a deeper strike than other years.

That is the old school high relief design. Sometime around 1989 / 1990 the mint changed to the current low relief design.
