I couldn't sleep last night so I finished up 4 more boxes, there was a lot going on in these 4 boxes, No skunks, that was nice, I pulled a bunch of nice coins. I got 1-90%er a 64D, and 12-40%ers, 2-65, 1-66, 6-67, and 3-68, I also pulled 3-74D DDO, One was an ender, 1-78S Clad Proof, 3 Sundland Park Gambling Tokens, A GEM of A GEM 71D, checkout the pic on this one, it is beautiful. 16-NIFC, most of the 2011. Jack nice commemorative, may not be the best of shape but its something different. Skibdib Nice Silver 76S nice to see you are still scoring silver. Enjoyed these boxes a lot, love getting a mix of different coins. This is one reason I "LOVE THE HUNT!" Finding GEMS Like this. 44 years old in circulation and in this condition, Awesome!

Wow! That is an impressive '71-D! Is it original from the mint, or has it been plated/dipped?

Lowball half dollars just implies that it is very worn, such as those that have been used as pocket pieces. Low grades as opposed to high UNC grades.

So question for us that CRH.. what do you do with your finds, primarily the junk silver? Stack them to sell in rolls, sell or trade them right away in order to build up your collection, or just keep them indefinitely?

Ive only accumulated 5 rolls of 40% and working on the second roll of 90%. I am leaning towards selling some of my 40%s to buy bullion.

Mister Kairu, I put them away, I have 15 years to see where silver prices will go. So my Safety deposit box is getting to the point I will have to get a larger one. LOL. This is a long term retirement plan for me. I hope to see silver prices stay in the $35 dollar range as a norm one day. We will see. This is of course I don't need the money sooner.

I went to a new bank today to pick up some halves, but the teller only had 2 loose ones and neither was silver. It wasn't a waste of time, though since I had bills to trade for larger ones. I asked the teller if she's seen any coin collectors come in, and she said a few months ago a man and his son came in, bought all the halves, and apparently dumped them back at the same bank the next day. I'm pretty sure those guys aren't gonna be very liked by the tellers if they dump at the same place they pick up, is that right?

Just finished the first of 6 boxes I picked up this afternoon, SKUNK!! No silver, no proofs, no NIFC. This box also broke me into double digits without a silver find, no silver in the last 10 boxes, THIS HAS GOT TO END NOW!! I need to move next door to arby96, he finds silver week after week, after week. Guess I'll crack open at least one more box tonight and see if I can get my luck to change.

I had a pretty good box today. This box was a mess though. Many of the coins were marked up with paint and markers. I was also able to find coins to fill in my books too. It was a good day. 1-2004 2-2005 1-2008 2-1966 1-1967 1-1968
