Stupid Chase Since they took out their coin counters today is the first week of my scaled back searching. I only got 2 boxes from them for the week instead of 4 Monday and 4 Thursday. Box 1 had an ender. 8 40%ers including a 1970 proof, a Walker, 2 lowballs, an enhanced bicentennial, and a 2015 Box 2 had 6 40%ers, a lowball, and a 2015. I am positive both of these boxes came from the same dump. If I could have had my normal 4 boxes today I am sure the other 2 would have been just as good. And in case I would have missed any today there is a chance they would have showed up with the no longer Thursday batch

Box 7 of 26 yielded 3 NIFC and one 1972D obverse grease error. I'm done looking for today...not very fruitful so far.

Quote:I have never seen a Kennedy half that worn. Amazing. I was telling myself it was ground flat due to the sharp edges on the eagles wings on the reverse but I can't see any straight line marks on it. The other 2 lowball halves were 1972 so I would guess if this 2 box dump were from the same source that this one is a 1972 as well.

While making a deposit today, I asked the teller if she had any half dollars. She had 2, I took them, and one of them turned out to be a 1968-D! That's my 2nd half dollar, and my latest silver find for face or free!
The other one is a 1974-D that looks fine on the obverse, but the reverse is barely legible, anyone know what could've happened?

Boxes 8 and 9 of 26 = 5 NIFC, impaired 1981, 1992, 2003 proofs, and, finally, a beat up 1968-D

I just finished my last 4 boxes from last week, ended up going camping so wasn't able to get to the boxes until this afternoon. Once again no skunks, that is always nice, I pulled 2-NIFC, and 18-40%ers, 1-65, 3-66, 5-67, 6-68, and 3-69. On my way to dump and pick up 4 more boxes. Love seeing the pics of everyone whom is finding silver. Here are the pics of my last find. "LOVE THE HUNT!"

My 4 boxes came in and with stamp # I have not seen in months.
It was welcome after only 1 40%er in last 8 boxes of recent stamp #.
Anyway, no skunks here either, quite similar to you Arby :-) I was very happy to receive:
box 1: 52d franklin (first coin found, black rim), 3 x 40% box 2: 3 x 40% box 3: 2 x 40% box 4: 4 x 40%
total of 13 coins. This was a great haul for this week. I may have to order 2 more for Friday.
good luck hunting!
