Is it possible to find a 67 proof with no mint mark? Not sure what I have, maybe just polished. 2 boxes for 5 x 40% today, though one is proofy looking with a super sharp edge.

no mint marks at all in 1965, 1966, and 1967. No proofs issued, only SMS, and they are also without a mint mark. An SMS 1967 can be very proof like with cameo. Probably from early die state.

This week isn't starting out very good. Box 1 produced 3 2002-date NIFC and a 1982P without an F in the designer initials. Box 2 had 1 2002-date NIFC. These boxes brought me to 5 consecutive boxes without silver. Still got 5 more boxes to go. For some reason the bank that I usually get Brinks boxes from had fed boxes this week so all 7 are fed boxes this week. For the last few weeks I haven't been finding much in fed boxes, but am hoping that will change this week.

Quote:so there could be an SMS 1967 with no mint mark that appeared prooflike? NO coins from the USA made at the US Mint had mintmarks in 1965, 1966, and 1967, for any reason. You shouldn't find one with a mintmark period from those years. IF you do find one from those with a mintmark it is either a very rare rarity or a fake. Either of which you should have examined by someone. This has nothing to do with SMS or proof-like or anything, just those years the mints did NOT use mintmarks. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unite...nt#MintmarksQuote: Between 1965 and 1967, as the Mint labored to replace the silver coinage with base metal coins, mintmarks were temporarily dispensed with (including on the penny and nickel) in order to discourage the hoarding of coins by numismatists. Quote: One lonely 1942 in today's box. She must have felt claustrophobic with all them Kennedy's Might as well call her Marilyn or Norma Jean; and with that dress she is wearing I could see naming her that would fit! Lady Liberty probably wasnt intimidated at all considering she is much older and wiser than all those Kennedys, or any other president for that mater! 2 boxes of halves today, hope to get into them over the weekend. 1 Brinks and 1 Loomis.

Results for the last 4 Boxes: 3 - 40% (found all 3 in the same roll in the first box) 22 - NIFC - got the first 2013 that I can remember. My Daughter's Birth Year. 3 - 80's in great shape. Album upgrades. 3 - Foreign 1 - 1983 P no "fg" 7 - Proofs (73, 2-74, 79, 80, 83, 05) And my first Barber. I thought I had a 4th Foreign coin when I first got a look at it. Found it in the second to last roll.

I have searched rolls for the past few weeks. In about $280 worth of halves, I have found 5 40%ers, and a 1990 s. Also 1 nifc (2004p) and 1 proof. Also while dumping, I picked up 6 2015p!

15 rolls into the Brinks box, the first ever Brinks NIFC, 2008-P. Otherwise mostly 1970s so far.
