Imthealphaomega, you are correct. There is some Rim damage. Looks like it was dropped. Thanks Jack and Skib. Kind of a funny story..... I had a scare on Saturday afternoon. I thought I had mistakenly threw the Barber back with the halves I dumped. I got back from the Bank and I could not find it on my desk. I searched everywhere for about 1/2 hour. My heart sank. When I informed my Wife of my stupidity, she said my Daughter picked it up off the desk so she put it in her pocket for safe keeping. Turns out my Daughter has a budding interest in coins at a young age.

Boxes 3, 4, 5, 6 completed. Box 3 had 2 40% silver, both 1966 and 1 2002-date NIFC. Box 4 had 2 2002-date NIFC, 1 1987P, 1982P without an F in the designer initials and a clad commemorative a 1989 Bicentennial of the Congress. Box 5 had 2 2002-date NIFC, 1987D, a 1982P without an F in the designer intials and a 1976 clad proof. Box 6 had 1 40% silver 1969D and 2 2002-date NIFC. Still got one box to go before picking up 6 more boxes for this week.

I stopped at a Chase branch that I have been feuding with for going on 3 years now. I would avoid them all together but they were the only branch open til 7 which made it convenient to dump after work and they were sort of on the way home. A few years ago there was a young teller who seemed interested and asked me if I found anything good when I would dump there. I would pass him a Wheat cent or V nickel or something low value I found in a box and tell him the history about it to try to get him interested in collecting. After a couple of months he either quit or transferred. Anywho last Monday I gave a 1936 Buffalo nickel I had found in a box to a teller who had been asking me if I had found anything good and told him it was to get his collection started. I went in there tonight and he pulled out 4 halves and asked if I wanted them. I could see that one of them was silver. He said that he had set them aside for me. I ended up with 2 1967's. It never hurts to grease the palms even in a hostile environment. 2 40%ers is better than I've done in some 4 box sittings.

I know people who work for banks...I know a guy who holds halves for me whenever I go by once every few weeks I ask he knows what to look for...One time I scored 2 1964 kennedys....My best friends brother just started working for a small credit union, I told him to tell his brother to find silver coins for me....he said he already relayed the message to his brother so I am hoping for some easy silver...I have been tempted to at times to possibly apply for a part time job at a bank if I don't find a full time teaching job soon.

I have a lady at a fast food place here who keeps coins for me. I went there last week, and she asked, "Where have you been? I had ten 1964 halves the other day!" I'd actually been there, but she hadn't come in yet. I don't know if they were really 1964, because she doesn't know much about coins. One time she gave me a half and called it an SBA. Still, it's irritating. I had to go to the supermarket today, and they recently added a new bank branch inside. I've checked for halves there a few times, but never got anything good. The teller had $5.50 in halves, and I instantly saw a white rim. Sure enough, it was a '64!

It has been a while since I posted Congratulations to every on your nice finds. 2 weeks ago I got 2 boxes box 1 had 3,90% all 1964 & 8,40% box 2 had 2,90% all 1964 & 7 40% that broke my skunk spell. Last week got two more boxes never seen so many marked coins all with the same mark at least half of the rolls had the same mark on the end some were even double enders of that same mark I did not bother to look through them. Next day I got two more boxes box 1 found 1,40% box 2 I found a 1950 1963D Benny Today on the way to the hardware store I stopped at WF to buy a box of nickles. I asked if anyone had any halves she had $9.50 in here tray no silver there, she also stated she had 7 rolls in her drawer I asked if the same person brought them in she said yes I thought well they probably been looked through already I'll pass so when she went to get my box of nickles I was thinking maybe I should a least buy 1 roll. So she gave me 1 roll I opened one end and bingo silver I said I'll take all 7 rolls 5 rolls had nothing but 2 of the rolls with different wrappers dated 1970 were solid 40%. This has happen to me before you never know unless you buy and check them. Best of luck to every one.

Four 40% from five boxes is better than none from ten.

Picked up 6 boxes yesterday 5 skunks, 1 box contained 1-90%er a 64 Kennedy, and 10-40%ers, 1-65, 6-67, 1-68, and 2-69's, also pulled an fair 87P. It was awesome to get more than one piece of silver out of a box. This is the best box in a while. "LOVE THE HUNT!"
