I'm a cent and nickel searcher, but with my son I decided to ask the local bank this afternoon if there they had any halves. The teller was very nice and told my son that she had silver, handing him a 64 JFK and a 63 Franklin. Then another teller said, I have two rolls. We were very excited to open up the rolls, given the writing on one of the rolls. Just got home to open them and wow. Just wow. Now I know why you guys do halves.
Incredible find!

How many Franklin holes did you fill?

Made a new account with people's united bank in my grocery store. They get coin from Dunbar, so I placed an order for 2K in halves, hopefully I get something good, Loomis boxes I have gotten nothing from since I ran into my own supply 2 months ago. Wish me luck.

I search mainly nickels and pennies and occasionally dimes. But I was wondering for the people who get several hundred or thousands in halves dump them? Do you reroll or do you have access to a coin counter at a local bank? I only went through halves once $300 worth and found nothing but when I dumped them off I could tell the teller wasn't any to happy with me although she was very nice and loaded the hand wrapped rolls into her trays. Most of the tellers I have come across cringe when I bring in $20 in pennies and $100 in nickels. One teller said this is way to much to bring it at one time. It didn't seems excessive to me but since I'm not a banker I not sure what is excessive. Anyhow I asked one teller at my normal pickup bank when I was picking up pennies and nickels if she could order halves and she reluctantly said she could, and them asked me what I wanted them for, and asked if it was for business or searching purposes, so I told her I like to search coins and she said she would order them for me and then knowing that most tellers don't like halves I said I would take them elsewhere, so she said just let me know when you want me to order them and she could order a box or 2. I want to order them but not sure if how to dispose of them because I don't have a coin counter in my area that I know of. I have used coinstar a couple times for gift cards when I know I need to make a purchase at lowes or Amazon but $500 is alot to dump into coinstar when I don't have any pending purchases. Any suggestions anybody?

I have an account with my local credit union.....they have 2 branches within a ten minute drive....I am allowed to dump $300 per day at their machines I usually try to hit both locations 2x a week. I used to be able to do $500 per dump but they've limited me to $300 now. I figure if I do 2k every 2 weeks this gives me 1200 bucks to dump per week. On occasion I hand wrap rolls and dump them at Bank of America since they use loomis and odds are I won't run into them again, they don't like it but I am a customer.

CoinRumbles, the only reason bank tellers get upset is because they are lazy and don't like hauling around the rolled coins, at the end of the day they have to count the coins and carry them back and forth from the vault. The banks I deal with here don't give me a limit, I dumped $4000 in halves today at one bank and I don't get any grief from them. Its great to have banks here that understand customer service. It is much easier to deal with banks that have coin machines than bringing in rolls of coin that is for sure. I would find those banks with coin machines to deal with. Aristarchus awesome score on the Bennies, 15 ounces of silver in two rolls is fantastic, approx $250 worth of silver. That is a great day for sure. Just finished up my last 4 boxes for the week 2 Skunks, I pulled 1-64D, 1-65, 1-66, and 1-67. Also pulled a 76S Clad Proof a GEM 14, and a GEM 89. I am sharing the picture of the 89, because it still shocks me one can find a regular coin this nice in circulation.

I re-roll (have some replacement halves on the side in case I find keepers) and take the full box to a chase bank. They just take it and deposit my $500.

Not a big fan of the machines for this high of an amount. Pennies, sure.

Today I got 300$ worth at my own bank and 250$ from my uncles. Mine were all skunks and I found 6 40% out of his. So today wasn't a loss but is it possible some banks are better than others? Will continue getting 500$ every friday till I can afford more. This is awesome for the broke college student to still coin hunt.

4 more boxes today 2 were skunks
1 had 4 enders the other had 2 enders
Found
25,40%
1,40% 1976 bicentennial silver clad
1,80% 1965 Canadian half (my first Canadian half)
7,90% 1,1963D Benny & 6 1964 Kennedy
This has been my best week this year so far with
61,40% and 20,90%. I have been very lucky so far this year I do not know how much longer my luck will continue all year I hope.
Best of luck to all of you.
