RCook Valued Member United States 449 Posts	Posted 07/30/2016 08:50 am The silver finds for me were down this week compared to the last few weeks, but still managed to make my 1oz. week goal. Silver finds for the week were (1) 1964 (2) 1968D and (1) 2003S. Two weeks in a row I've found silver proofs, the one this week wasn't in very good condition, been in circulation too long, but it's still silver. I would tell my mom I was going camping and hunting see you in a few days. She say OK be careful. My buddies and I would grab our bows camping gear food and disappear for a few days. They eat a lot of crawl fish and it turns their meat red. That is the first time I have caught trout that had red meat. I don't know if that is normal or not. First 4 boxes for this week 1 skunk, pulled 1-64, 2-65 and 2-67. One roll was an ender. Trapper what is your approx. ounce total for this year. Have your numbers increased or about the same as last year. My numbers are way down. If I can break 500 for the year I will be happy. With today's score I broke 4000 Pieces of silver. I got skunked on silver, but plan on going through to make a set and also to save some key dates/look for errors. Previous years I did not keep track per year, but I did sell 4 boxes of 40% and took the money and bought gold. I keep all the 90% I find about 70 rolls so far plus what I put in coin books. I found my first classic silver commem in a roll and it was in the most unlikely kind of box. The entire box was casino coins. And they were all fresh from the casino because they had all been washed and the edges were shiny orange vs dull brown like they usually are. Also interesting about the whole box was the coins obverses and reveres weren't hammered like casino coins usually are but the edges were severely hammered and ground up. Box 1 had a Franklin and 2 40%ers. Box 2 was all casino coins. I found 6 40%ers, a Walker, a 1964, and my first classic silver commem a Robinson The obverse and reverse surfaces don't look to bad but the reeding on the edge is all chewed up Edited by jack jeckel 08/03/2016 3:55 pm Report this Post to the Staff

I got a nice surprise today, went to pick up my regular 4 boxes and the manager had 8 for me to pickup. 4 of the 8 were skunks, I did end up with 3-90%ers and 3-40%ers. Here is the breakdown, 1-37 Walker, 1-63 Franklin, and a 05S Kennedy, and 3-67's. Would have loved to get more but you get what you get and don't throw a fit. 11 for the week so far, and still have 4 boxes tomorrow. Enjoy the pic. Thought I would share.
