Trapper, I desire more info on the 1986 Comm. is that a special issue half dollar. It looks like it would make a great ring, with the In God We Trust along the edge and date on the same side. Webekin

It is a 1986D clad half dollar it was issued for the centennial of the statue of liberty, 928,008 were
minted in Denver.
It is the first cooper-nickel clad half dollar commemorative.
Also 6,925,627 proofs were minted at the San Francisco mint.
I have found 5, 1986D & 17, 1986S so far

JBUCK AND TRAPPER:

First one I had seen. If they were inexpensive I would make a ring from them. I like the IN GOD WE TRUST feature, I have a ring made from a 1950 half, my birth year.

Went to 2 banks out of town while wife was at the dentist. Picked up 3 rolls and 2 singles. Best find was 1976S Cent., not in perfect condition, still very bright. Both my regular banks failed to order for me last week. GL HH

The week has started off nicely. Worked late and had to bike my boxes back and forth quickly before the bank closed.

Box 1: skunk
Box 2: 1 x 1964, 7 x 40%
Box 3: 3 x 1964, 7 x 40%
Box 4: 3 x 40%

total 21 pieces, 4 x 1964, 17 x 40%

had lots of multiples. The 2nd roll of box 2 had 4 including a 1964. What a way to break the silver seal! next 2 pics, 2 each.

Good luck all, august is starting off nicely!

I have had a lucky streak with tellers lately, last four visits
1) .got $8.50 in halves with one 58 d Franklin
2nd bank) $13.00 in halves with one 64 kennedy
3rd bank) no halves but saw a Ike dollar '72 in the tray and got it.
4th bank) 4.50 in halves with one 65 kennedy

that makes 4 stops in a row (on different days) and got something each time!

Nice score guys, 4 boxes today produced only 1-68 very nice condition, 2-76 S Clad proofs, several NIFC that were keepers. One box had a bunch of gem coins from the 90's. Kept a few of those. Silver has been scarce compared to last year. Tomorrow is another day. Keep up the posts and pics.

Four boxes today wasn't great wasn't too bad with six pieces of silver, 1-43 Lady, 1-64D, 2-67, 168 and 1-69. That is 7 for the week, hope to break double digits tomorrow. Still not too much luck with those gold and white wrappers.

Nice scores everyone. I received my first 6 boxes and they yielded 6 40-%. They were mixed with a different colored wrapper then what I hadn't previously gotten. I received my other 4 boxes and they were all the different wrappers then what I usually get. They were the yellow string and sons wrapper. I had zero luck with those. Hopefully I can get my regular wrapped coins back. Since I am doing away with my 4 boxes I will only be getting my 6 boxes. Good luck eveyone!

The most in 1 roll was 4,40% some with 2 or 3
3 rolls had 2 90%
I'm sure most of these 40% came from the same dump
by looking at the edges.
The shiny 1964's all had very oxidized edges so I assume they were all from the same batch. I upped my order for next week hoping I will catch some more of these boxes.
I have 4 more boxes coming tomorrow maybe I will catch some more of this batch
I wish everyone the best of luck also.

1 box from my emergency pick up bank on Saturday had 1 40%er.

2 boxes from Tuesday.

Box 1: At first I thought I had got my whole box of casino junk dump back as the enders were all hammered and the first roll I opened was all washed edge beaten coins. Then I realized that the straight from the casino box I got last week only the edges were smashed, not the faces. This whole box had orangish colored hammered up halves (I guess the copper from the edges transferred to the obverse and reverses as the coins kept hitting each other) but they all also had some weird grinding wear to the high points on the obverses and reverses. I don't know if these came from the same casino as the wear was not the same or what. I only found 1 40%er.

Box 2 was a skunk.
