Where is the general location you guys get these boxes, I've only gone through two boxes (both skunks besides a few modern unc. And NIFC's) and both times there are quite a few coins with marker on them, these are MWR btw. Is it possible that I am getting a batch thats already been searched but they just keep rolling them? This would sorta make sense since half's don't really circulate.

Every half that everyone here searches is a re-rolled half. Sometimes collections or coins that people have had lying around the house for years get taken to banks or spent for face value and those coins end up getting in the mix of the other re-rolled coins and stay there until some collector/searcher finds them and adds them to their collection. I also suspect that some areas of the country are more heavily searched than others. Two boxes isn't a very large sample to base your experience on. I've been searching half boxes for nearly 2 years now and have had times when I'd hit double digit consecutive skunk boxes, but I've also had 4 instances where I got a hold of boxes that were in access of 25oz. of silver in them. Finding those boxes with many ounces of silver isn't something that's going to happen every day, but most likely if you keep searching you'll eventually get a box with a few pieces of silver. You have to remember it's been over 45 years since the last circulated silver coins were minted therefore the chances of finding silver is much slimmer than getting clad coins. I started out doing one box a week, then went to 2 boxes, then to 6 and have been doing 6 for probably well over 1.5 years. I've found a little over 200 oz. of silver and close to half of that came from the 4 monster boxes I've managed to get my hands on. I'm located in south central KY.

One find is still better than none.
