Got 10 rolls yesterday, with 8 NIFCs, but no silver... 20 more rolls from the same box today produced 10 more NIFCS, 2 40%-ers and a 76-S!
CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

The last 10 rolls left out of the box (two other people each got 5 rolls)... 2 silvers, and my first 2016 half of any sort. There were also 16 other NIFCs! So my 40 rolls produced 4 40%-ers, 1 76-S Proof and a staggering 35 NIFCs!

Haven't posted in here in awhile because well my finds have been slim compared to what I was getting before summer hit.. Anyway I have still been hunting and at least pulling an ounce a week out but did have a 21 box skunk streak which was to say the least..boring Well the last few weeks have been good with the 4 boxes from yesterdays pickup being very generous to say the least.. So here are the results from yesterdays pickup and also one from sept 20th and I seem to have lost the pics from last week but that one gave me 10 40% as well... Here are the pics from Sept 20th first and then todays finds.. enjoy. Sept 20th, Oct 14th Breakdown Walkers- 1x 1935s, 1x1934, 1x1936, 1x1936s Bennies- 1x1954 Kennedy 90%- 1x1964 Kennedy 40%- 1x1965 5x1966 9x1967 7x1968D 1x1969D 1x1982 No FG 1x1974 silver?.. Gonna need someone to look at this one on a different thread for me.. It weighs identical to the silver and has silver edge.. I'm confused Anyway good luck to all you hunters and remember to enjoy the hunt no matter how bad it gets because eventually silver will flow again

2 boxes from Tuesday. Box 1 had 4 40%ers, a proof, and a gold painted half. Box 2 was rather interesting. there were about 60 coins that I had dumped back in April of 2014. There were 100 or so coins I dumped last month. Also in the box were a bunch of the hammered casino coins that I got 2 solid boxes of a few weeks back that I found my Robinson commem in. I'm not sure how that many coins from 2 years ago stayed together this long to be mixed in with less than a months old dump and the casino dump Anyways I found a double holed 1964.

My first box in a VERY long time (5+ years) yielded 13 NIFC half dollars, 8 regular proof half dollars, and a proof bald eagle commemorative half dollar. The box did not contain any 40% or 90% silver coins. NIFC: 1987-D 2003-P 2004-D (x2) 2006-P 2007-D 2008-D 2009-P 2015-P 2015-D 2016-P (x2) 2016-D Proofs: 1976-S 1979-S 1980-S 1985-S 1986-S 1987-S 1989-S 2004-S 2008-S

Forgot the tissue test and weight. IF it sounds like clad when dropped it is plated clad, which I suspect. If for some reason it sounds like a silver dropped you have something, but I suspect its just plated. Found lots of those over the years

my last 4 boxes of the week were all skunks, and 1 Magicians coin which I have not opened yet. I actually detected this one by sound, usually I only find them when a machine rejects them. Good luck to all next week!

Since I didn't get any halves last week both banks doubled up the order this week. Not a great week considering I searched 12 boxes, but I'll gladly take 16 pieces of silver and add to my silver stash. I say not a great week, but at least I met my 1 oz. week goal for both this week and last week so I can't complain. Silver finds included (1) 1964, (1) 1964D, (1) 1965, (2) 1966, (3) 1967, (5) 1968D, (2) 1969D and (1) 1976S (proof). One of the 1969's is a casino coin with most of the reeding worn off and the edge looks like a copper/nickel clad. An edge searcher would never have caught this one. I even had to take a second look at the date to be sure I was actually seeing 1969. It was a marked coin, having been marked on both the obverse and reverse. I also found 7 clad proofs (1) 1972S, (1) 1982S (3) 1986S, (1) 1987S, and (1) 2001S. As usually I got my handful of 2002-date NIFC coins, (1) 1974D DDO, and 6 1987's. 2016 year to date silver, 141.9701 oz. Quote: 1x1974 silver?.. You have a 1974 that appears silver, I have a 1969D that the edge looks copper/nickel. I think the reason mine looks the way it does is because most of the reeding is worn off exposing the copper and as others have said yours is probably a plated coin. If your luck is like mine it's not possible either one of us has a valuable coin.

I'm glad to see some silver being found on here. Congratulations to everyone. This has been another 10 box skunk for me this week that is 28 boxes in a row. My worse ever was over 64 boxes in a row. So far this year I have found 292.333 Troy ounces. I hope I can hit 300. Gotta just keep plugging along until I hit another vein Best of luck to everyone next week.

Trapper, those skunk streaks are tough when they get that long. I think my longest one was 18 boxes, and I thought it was never going to end. All you can do in these situations is keep getting boxes and hope the next one will be the one that has silver. When my skunk streak finally ended I think the box only had 1 40%'er, but boy was it a beautiful sight. So far I've searched halves all except three weeks this year and haven't had a skunk week yet for 2016. I'm not sure when my last skunk week was, but I think it's been over a year since my last week of being skunked. My current goal is to get 150 oz. for 2016. If things pick up this year around the holidays like they have in the past I won't have any problem reaching my goal. Thing that I find hard to believe is that Arby says he's never had a skunk week. He must really be in a great area for searching.
