No halves for me this week. The head teller at one bank was on vacation this week and the one doing the coin order forgot place the order for halves. The other bank ordered them, but they didn't come in with their order. One bank said they'd double up next week so I should be getting at least 10 boxes next week.

Sorry to hear of your lack of boxes, but glad to hear you'll have at least 10 to search next week! If all goes well, then I'll get 10-12 boxes to search next month...My fingers are crossed!

I just knocked out my last 6 boxes for the week, 3 skunks, the other three yielded me 4-64, 2-65, 4-67, 268, and 1-69. Two weeks in a row hitting 20 pieces of silver, very surprised. I combined the earlier finds in the photo blow. Halfhunter how many years have you been searching? Skibdib and Cook sorry to hear you didn't get your halves this week, More to search next week. Its a good amount, but I never got as much 90%as alot of guys on here did. Most 90% I ever got was 25 in one day. My peak was 22-24 boxes a week, but that was a few years ago. Been doing 8 boxes for the last year and a half or so. Never got skunked for a whole week doing 8. Lots of single 40 weeks but never a skunk. My highlight was on page 696, very early in my searches. |

I managed a 1964 in my last of 4 boxes today. I was happy to see it. Thats what I get for getting my hopes up for this weeks boxes hah. of course its a 90% and beats a skunk, Ill take it. good luck all!

Glad to see someone is finding something
I did 10 boxes this week total skunk, nada, zilch.
The same dump I got last week with lots and lots of the same marked coins.
Hopefully next week will change.

Trapper, I'm almost certain your luck will turn around. I too are seeing a bunch of coins I marked in the past few weeks from July Aug and Sept, much to my surprise I am still scoring silver in most cases. I don't dump at my Wells Fargo yet I get coins I have dumped at other banks from Wells Fargo and still score silver. Who know how long this silver will be found in these halves I hope for another couple of years at least. I have had a amazing run for almost 3 years at this searching 12-16 boxes a week. Even with my silver numbers dropping each year its still a great hobby and the cheapest way to purchase silver. plus its fun! Wishing you all the best, with the holiday this week, I sure hope you all get your boxes you ordered.

yep, the highs and lows of the hunt. Last week started good, ended low.
This week also starting good, so I won't jinx it by expecting more good boxes.
box 1: 6 x 40%, 6 x 1964
box 2: 1 x 40%
box 3: 1 x 40%
box 4: skunk
box 1 was great, 1st roll had a 40%, so did the 2nd roll. And one of the rolls had 2 x 1964, and another had a 1964 and 2 x 40%. Times like these make me wish I could do 10 boxes a day.
Who knows what the rest of the week will hold. Good luck to all who are looking!

4 boxes from Friday Box 1 had an ender. 2 40%ers, 1 1964, and a couple of NIFC. Box 2 had a Walker, 2 40%ers, a proof, a stickered, a rusty half, and a couple of NIFC. Box 3 had 2 Walkers, a 1964, 2 40%ers, and a 2 NIFC including a 2016. Box 4 was a skunk except for a couple of NIFC.  |

Nice scores Jack and Skib, My first 4 boxes for the week yielded me 1-66, and 1-68, also a 72S and 06S Clad proof, and a GEM 87D. At least the week didn't start off with 4 skunks, just 3.

After I posted this morning I went and made my dump, and picked up another 4 boxes, I just finished them and I am very excited to say it was a awesome score, with 7-90%ers, 15-40%ers, 3-Clad Proofs, and 3 foreign coins and one angel coin. 1-54D, 2-60D, 1-62D, 3-64, 2-65, 2-66, 4-67, 6-68 and 1-69. Clad Proofs are 09, 10, 11. 1-2000 50 Centavos from Ecuador, 1-1980 100 Soles De Oro, and 78 Diez Pesos from Mexico. I can say it was a fun series of boxes to search, each box contained something, majority of the finds came from box 2.    "LOVE THE HUNT!"
