Last week was slow for silver with only one 40% coming from four boxes. With the holiday one of the banks forgot to order. I also found two 1974D DDO. 2016 year to date silver 149.0076 oz. I'll start picking up again tomorrow for this week and am hoping for a better week. Good luck everyone.

Hey RC feeling your pain, first 4 boxes for this week after taking 2 weeks off, all skunks. Hope tomorrow is a better day!

RCook, the total for the year is pretty nice. Gotta like that.
I last left you folks 2 weeks ago where I started with 8 boxes of skunk. I did 8 more boxes that week for 6 40%. so 13 skunks out of 16, ouch.
Last week for thanksgiving, I got 4 boxes on Tues. 3 skunks, but box 4 had 25 pieces, including 4x90%. that was a nice surprise.
The week was short, but they got me 4 boxes from last Friday, which I did yesterday.
No skunks, and 39 pieces, including 22x90%! holy smokes! I'm hoping that it continues this week, but who knows.
Im wondering how my competition started this week ;-)
Just about 1 month left in the year to rack it up. Stupid work is going to take away from some boxes in December, but what can ya do.
Good luck to all! There have been some great finds on here recently from many members. Keep it up!

Nice finds, everyone! The 76-S isn't a proof, but it's still a decent find in my book.

The picture is lousy, but it certainly is a proof, 100% certain. knew it by the edge before I pulled it from the roll, and its a proof strike on each side :-)

In 1976 the mint also released 1976S 40$ silver UNC coins so don't let the S mint mark fool you unless you see the mirror.

The 1976 half in Skib's photo is a business strike 40%er not meant for circulation. I received one from a teller this week. http://www. (207) Not Allowed - Auto-Removed .com/coins/2905/half-dollars/kennedy/1976-S/silver/

would a business strike have an edge like a proof? At this point, I have to take it out and get better pics, I'm out numbered 3 to 1 here haha.
Also, this morning when I called a bank to double my order for tomorrow, they informed me that they already had 4 boxes on hand from last Friday. I didnt think that they came in because of the holiday. They all have the same stamp # as the last batch of 4 boxes, which is a great sign. The first box had a 1964 ender on the first roll, but no other enders on the top in the rest of the 4 boxes. Still cant wait to tear these up later.

skib, yes, the '76 business strike 40%er I picked up this week has a proof-like edge, though mine is truly uncirculated whereas yours is worn.
Best of luck with your 4 boxes!

Thanks for the info berto :-) well, I did the 4 boxes, and.... :-D 3 were skunks, but the one with a 1964 ender on the first roll, contained 40 pieces of the shiny stuff! Including 3 bens, 10 1964s, and 27x40%. So lucky to get these as I really thought I missed them due to the holiday. That one box actually ended up being my best for the year ounce wise... 8.69 troy oz about. There might be some more floating around. Hopefully 4 boxes tomorrow and 4 more Friday. So nice to see the holiday silver flowing! this was prob the middle of the dump, with multiple rolls with 3 pieces in them.

Skibdib very nice scores, That is awesome, I just returned from one of my banks and thought I was going to get my normal pickup, instead of 4 boxes they had 10 boxes waiting for me, I cracked them all open to ensure that all the rolls were there. This is the bank that shorted me 3 rolls before I went on vacation. All the rolls are accounted for. The good news it several boxes had at least two enders I could see. I hope this is a nice score, don't want to get too excited. Will be cracking the rolls tonight.
