JFK Half Dollar Roll Hunters: Silver, Proofs And Other Finds

Bought a box a few weeks and got 11 40% silver halves :)

Though the biggest find for me last year was when after taking in $100 in quarters for work, I then took the hundred to the nearby bank wanting a box of halves. I instead asked for halves and they had $99, so of course I asked for them. They had to reroll them as the original rolls had customer info on them. I saw the teller take one roll out and dereolled and I saw just straight silver. I knew at that point I was going to be getting at least some silver. Afterwards I get back in my car and decide to look at another roll. Another full roll of silver. My eyes turned into dinner plates. Finally after getting home I deroll the rest. In the end there were an additional 2 full rolls of silver halves. Out of the $99 in halves I got $39 in 40% silver halves :D

A few weeks before the end of the year went into a bank and got $2.50 in halves. 1 1964 halve and 2 40% halves :)

2 boxes today: 7 40%ers, 1 1964, 1 1963 and a 1944 walker.

Just keep on it, they will show up.

The first 4 boxes of this week is another skunk,up to 10 in a row, 4 pieces of silver in 47 boxes, I would say my numbers are definitely dropping. Good luck everyone hope someone scores some big silver soon.

Berto, that sounds like what's happening here. I'm curious if it's that:

1. A new CRH'r started searching halves or if a new CRH started marking their halves that they've searched.

2. A change was made to the distribution logistics (e.g. first in first out).

The interesting part about this is that I used to get these marked ones from a specific bank that I stopped going too because of the horrible finds. A different bank I started ordering from had great yield. Now these marked ones started showing up.

I only use one bank for dumps.
